We are grateful to have the opportunity to serve our members by ensuring that you have a benefit that you can count on. There is a lot of uncertainty right now but I want to assure you that we are closely monitoring important developments.
Keeping your personal and financial information safe is a priority and I want you to know that your health is just as important to us. We have always taken great pride in the level of customer service that we provide and we are also taking steps to protect your well-being. We are actively assessing locations of scheduled events and keeping track of the number of attendees for large meetings. Like many others, we’re taking guidance from the CDC and DPH, which recommends regular cleaning as one of the most important preventive measures we can take.
We’re also equipping our office to support in-demand events such as Pre-Retirement Workshops and Counseling Sessions in the event of a cancellation due to unforeseen closures. Fortunately, we have the means to continue to serve you by way of phone and video conferencing if deemed necessary.
Undoubtedly, we’re concerned and committed to take care of our team. Our internal and outreach counselors have been provided factual information to keep themselves and their visitors safe during interactions. We’ve updated our telework policy and are encouraging team members to stay home if they or their family members are feeling ill. Travel throughout the state will be conducted only if it’s business critical. Additionally, more frequent cleaning of common areas, door handles, and surfaces is being executed.
We are committed to support Georgia’s educators and is at the core of all that we do. You’re important to us and deserve the highest quality of service no matter the circumstances.
Thank you,
L.C. (Buster) Evans, Ed.D
